Botswana Tourism Organisation (Botswana Tourism / BTO) is a parastatal body set up 
through An Act of Parliament with the mandate to market and promote Botswana as 
a tourist destination of choice; promote investment in the tourism sector; as well as to 
grade and classify tourism facilities. 
Botswana Tourism Organisation would like to invite interested partnerships, companies 
and consortia to tender for a lodge site in NG 19 (Tsaro Lodge) and concession areas 
CT 2, CT3 and NG 42:
INVITATION TO RE -TENDER FOR NON CONSUMPTIVE TOURISM 
OPERATIONS IN NG 19: TSARO LODGE
a. The lodge development site covers an area of 5 ha
b. The site currently consists a sixteen (16) bed facility (8 Chalets) currently known 
 as Tsaro Lodge which has not been operational for some years
c. The lodge site is located in the south west corner of NG 19 on a plot abutting 
 the Northern Boundary of The Moremi Game Reserve
INVITATION TO RE - TENDER FOR NON CONSUMPTIVE TOURISM 
OPERATIONS IN CT2
a. CT2 is a concession area in Nata State Land, Botswana
b. CT2 covers an area of 371,000 Ha and was previously used for trophy hunting
c. The management plan has been prepared by BTO and approved by Department
 of Lands and has recommended that the concession be used for 
 NON-CONSUMPTIVE TOURISM at the expiry of head leases
The proposed facilities are as follows:
2 No. tented lodges/camps with a maximum of 16-beds each to be located at
 the current Mokusi and Kukama
1 No. remote camping ground at the current Kukama with 5 camp sites and a
 maximum capacity of 50
1 No. wilderness camp ground with maximum of 3 sites. Each site shall have a
 maximum capacity of 15 people

OPERATIONS IN CT3
a. CT3 is a concession area in Nata State Land, Botswana
b. CT3 covers an area of 209,000 Ha and was previously used for trophy hunting
c. The management plan has been prepared by BTO and approved by Department 
 of Lands and has recommended that the concession be used for 
 NON-CONSUMPTIVE TOURISM at the expiry of head leases
The proposed facilities are as follows:
2 No. tented lodges/camps with a maximum of 30 and 24 beds located at the
 current Lememba Valley and Ngwasha Pan respectively 
2 No. remote camping grounds at the current Lememba Valley and Tamafupa /
 Domtshetshu with maximum capacity of 50 people
1 No. remote camping ground with a maximum capacity of 50 beds at
 Lememba valley
1 No. wilderness camp ground with maximum of 3 sites. Each site shall have a
 maximum capacity of 10 people

a. NG 42 is a concession area in Ngamiland State Land, Botswana
b. NG 42 covers an area of 382,000 Ha and was previously leased out for trophy 
 hunting
c. The management plan has been prepared by BTO and approved by Department 
 of Lands and has recommended that the concession be used for 
 NON-CONSUMPTIVE TOURISM at the expiry of head leases
The proposed facilities are as follows:
24 beds Camp at the current existing Masame Camp (Previously hunting
 Camp)
24 beds Camp at the Mowana Site
One (1) remote camping ground to be developed close to the current
 Masame Camp
Maximum three (3) wilderness camp ground. Each site shall have a maximum
 capacity of 15 people
THE FOLLOWING IS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF ALL 
PROSPECTIVE TENDERERS:
1. Tenderers are advised that a mandatory self- funded site visit coordinated by 
 Botswana Tourism Organization may be called upon on the following dates: 
 17th February 2014 - CT3
 18th February 2014 - CT2
 19th February 2014 - NG42
 25th February 2014 - Tsaro Lodge
2. Tenderers for the management and operations of tourist facilities and activities at
 the concessions/sites of interest will be expected to pay a non –refundable tender
 fee of P1000.00

6. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, Botswana Tourism Organisation is not
